GRANITE VS QUARTZ
Maintenance Guidelines
Both quartz and granite countertops benefit from simple, proactive care:

Wipe spills promptly, especially acidic liquids like citrus juice, alcohol, vinegar, or soda.

Always use a cutting board to prevent dulling knives and scratching the countertop.

Place hot or metal dishes on placemats rather than directly on the surface.

Avoid harsh, abrasive, or acidic cleansers; use a soft cloth instead of abrasive pads (e.g., steel wool) to maintain a scratch-free finish.
However, granite does require more maintenance than quartz.

Quartz: does not need initial or continued sealing.

Granite: needs to be sealed upon installation, and then again on a regular basis (twice a year).
Long-Term Care
Granite requires more ongoing maintenance than quartz:

Quartz: Low-maintenance and requires no sealing, keeping its durability intact with minimal effort.

Granite: Needs sealing upon installation and should be resealed periodically, ideally twice a year, to preserve its natural beauty and resistance.
